Update Trust Deposit Params (Governance)

This guide shows how to update Trust Deposit module parameters using a governance proposal. The transaction used is:

/verana.td.v1.MsgUpdateParams

Environment Setup

Step 1: Get the Governance Authority Address

Set it:

Step 2: Fetch Current Params

You must provide all fields in params. Start from the current values:

Extract the current yield_intermediate_pool into a variable (use -r to avoid quotes):

Step 3: Build the Proposal JSON

Edit the values you want to change, but keep all fields present:

Parameter Descriptions

Parameter	Description	Default
trust_deposit_reclaim_burn_rate	Percentage burned when reclaiming freed deposits	0.60 (60%)
trust_deposit_share_value	Current value of one share (increases over time)	1.0 (initial)
trust_deposit_rate	Rate for calculating deposits from fees	0.20 (20%)
wallet_user_agent_reward_rate	Reward rate for wallet user agents	0.20 (20%)
user_agent_reward_rate	Reward rate for user agents	0.20 (20%)
trust_deposit_max_yield_rate	Maximum annual yield percentage	0.15 (15%)
yield_intermediate_pool	Bech32 address of the yield intermediate pool account	(module account)

warning

All parameter values are encoded as 18-decimal fixed-point integers. For example, 200000000000000000 = 0.20 (20%).

Step 4: Submit the Proposal

Step 5: Track and Vote
