Environments
| Network | Purpose | Stability | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| devnet | integration work by the component teams; the first network to receive a new version | reset without notice | v4 |
| testnet | the network everyone builds and demonstrates on; public indexer, frontend, faucet, playground, demo casts | stable within a version; coin has no value | v4 from 13 October 2026 |
| mainnet | production | planned for 2027 |
Testnet is where the guides in this documentation are verified, and where the playground, the demo ecosystems and the listed wallets run. Its coin is free from the faucet. Endpoints, chain identifiers and peers are in Environments and endpoints.
Mainnet will be launched by the founding validators of the Verana Council after a security audit of the registry modules and of the trust resolution path.
