  • This eliminates fraud, increases safety, and ensures compliance with governance and legal rules.

Example 2: A Personal AI Assistant

  • A citizen deploys their own Personal AI Assistant Verifiable Service in the cloud, identified by its DID.
  • The assistant holds verifiable credentials proving:
    • It is owned and controlled by the user.
    • It is authorized to act on the user’s behalf in certain contexts (e.g., booking travel, managing health data, interacting with banks).
  • When the assistant communicates with a service (like a travel provider or a bank), it presents credentials:
    • Services can verify ownership (this agent really represents Alice).
    • The assistant can verify the service (this really is Alice’s bank, not a phishing site).
  • All interactions remain private, end-to-end encrypted, and under user control: no big tech intermediary needed.
